The room is a 14 sqm private room with QUEEN bed & private bath on 4th fl of a newly renovated townhouse in the quiet corner in the very center of Bangkok old town. The loft interior is reminiscent of Bangkok old days. The room features a very comfortable mattress to ensure your good sleep. You can walk to the Royal palace, Wat Pho, the Giant Swing, and Khaosan road in minutes. Subway Samyot is only 7 minute walk away. We offer private bedroom with private en suite bathroom on 4th floor of the newly renovated townhouse at the center of Bangkok old town. The bedroom is about 140 square feet so it's small but still comfortable for two guests. (If you would like to get a larger room or on lower level, check out our room on 3rd floor). 6th floor of the house is a roofed balcony with the rare sight of Bangkok old town. Sunset viewing from the balcony with the top of the Royal palace in the foreground is a special experience. The house is located on Phrayasri 3 alley and near the intersection of Fuengnakorn road and Charoenkrung road. It is only 500 meter away from the Royal Palace, 400m from Wat Pho, 800m from the Giant Swing and 700m from Chaophraya river boat pier. So this is an ideal base for you to explore the old town. The apartment is a renovated townhouse in an original goldsmith community. Some of our neighbors are still making these jewelry pieces by hand here. So the area is authentic and it is also a very safe area. We supply fresh bedding, towels and soap for every stay. If you stay more than a week, we change the bedding, towels. If you have any specific needs, please kindly ask. No smoking please!!! Apart from the private bedroom and bathroom, you can use the kitchenette and living room. There is a washing machine in the kitchen and laundry hanger on 4th fl. for you to take to hang dry in the bathroom. But there's no place to dry a big load of laundry so please ask us. We charge a small fee and our maid will do the washing and take the cloth to dry and fold for you. My aunt sometimes stays on 2nd floor. She is kind and welcoming but she might not be able to be of much help due to language barrier. You can email me or ask my aunt or my maid to call me. We stay in another house not far away we'll try to fulfill your request as soon as we can. The area is historically the first commercial block of Bangkok. It is still Bangkok's important hand made jewelry center. The block is separated from the Royal palace only by a prince-palace-turned-park - Saranrom palace park. Many historical sights such as Royal Palace, Wat Pho, Giant Swing and place of interest like Khaosan road, Phahurat and Sameng wholesale district is within walking distance. Many others like Goldent Buddha, China town, Wat Arun, Golden Mountain, are a bit far for a walk but will take only 10-15 minutes and $1-2 by taxi. Subway operation started (10.00-16.00) and full operation on 29Sep. Subway Samyot station is 7 min. Hualampong MRT station is only 2km away so you can easily access the subway/skytrain system to connect to shopping district and outer part of Bangkok. No. 1 bus which will take you to Hualampong MRT is abundant and costs 25 US cent. Taxi should costs about $2-2.5 only. Ta Tien Chaophraya river boat pier is 10-15 minute walk from the house. The boat is scenic and will take you to close to other sightseeing places in old Bangkok. It can also take you to Thaksin pier where you can connect to skytrain system. The alley in front of the house is not tidy but it is very safe. Residents here frequently left door opened or unlocked as they are not concerned about safety. So please don't be concerned. Use reasonable care as you will use anywhere in the world, that's all that's necessary.
