Sue and Dave welcome you to our home Sans Souci, set on the edge of Silfiac – a small village amidst the beautiful Brittany countryside. We were drawn to Brittany by the quiet roads, lovely towns, villages and wonderful nature, which are all waiting to be explored by you. A warm welcome awaits you at our home where we will be on hand to offer any help and advice you may need. We have three good-sized bedrooms available. This listing is for a double bedroom, with free Wi-Fi. This bedroom has sole use of a shower room. Continental breakfast is included with a choice of croissants, cereals, bread or toast. Sans Souci has secure bicycle and motorcycle parking with drying and bike cleaning facilities. Use of washer/ dryer is available at a minimal charge on request. We are happy to help you with your planned trips out. Our French is improving daily and we can help you find out any information you may need. Books and DVDs are available in the dining room. We look forward to sharing our home with you. Just a few steps away we have La Belle Epoque which is our village bar/épicerie offering Breton ciders, lagers and wines as well as tea and coffee and a good range of local groceries. Situated on the edge of the village we have Pont Samoel, a lovely lake, which has a bar/restaurant offering hot meals. Within ten minutes drive we have the towns of Cleguerec and Gouarec, where you will find Banks, Post Offices, places to eat, supermarkets and fuel as well as other facilities. Further afield are the larger towns of Pontivy and Rostrenen. Running through our region is the stunning Nantes-Brest Canal, which has excellent cycle paths and bicycles can be hired in Gouarec at a good rate. The local Lac de Guerledan offers activities such as walking, cycling as well as on the water e.g. boat and canoe hire as well as excellent lake-side restaurants. A visit to the Son Lumiere at Abbey de Bon Repos in August is a must or a visit to the market on a Sunday morning may be more to your taste. The northern Pink Granite and southern sandy coasts are also just over an hour’s drive away. We would ask you to respect our home by keeping noise levels down especially after 10pm -our dogs' bedtime.
