An old family home, renovated to a warm and comfortable country house located in Sant'Alfio, with a breathtaking view of the east coast of Sicily, from Taormina to Siracusa, the majestic presence of vulcano Etna and the luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation with its citrus groves and vineyards. Ideal place for those who love the good food, visiting, playing sports and enjoying the sun, the sea and the mountains . Half way from both sea and vulcano. From Catania Airport, reach us by car. During the renovation I took great care in maintaining the traditional elements of the Sicilian house. See the ancient washhouse, the colonnade of the pergola, the cisterns and the wood oven. Moreover, the local lava stone of Etna was reused, which frames the external fixtures and the terracotta floor. The thick stone walls of the structure maintain pleasant temperatures in both winter and summer. To create a cozy atmosphere, we have favored a wooden ceiling and the presence of a fireplace and a large dining table. Visitors can enjoy the entire structure, the large panoramic terrace in front, the small barbecue and the garden. Casa Greli is located at 300 meters away from the urban center of Sant'Alfio where you can find bar, supermarket, bank, post office, police, bakery, butcher's shop, reastaurants, church, tobacco shop. In few minutes drive you will reach the nearest beaches ( Fondachello, Torre Archirafi). We are at 30km from the airport of Catania Fontanarossa, 20 km from Taormina and 10km from the Etna volcano and the sea. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the property. With the SAG extra-urban lines you will easily reach Giarre and Riposto. With the AST suburban bus lines you will reach Acireale and Catania. The Giarre-Riposto train station is 7 km from Sant'alfio. The entrance gate and the driveway are shared. Please therefore respect the privacy of the neighbors. The property does not have a private parking but you can park for free on the street in front of the house.
