Studio Flat in Renovated French Barn

A self-contained ground floor studio flat in an old French barn (built 1792 and renovated in the 1990's) with an adjoining laundry and storage area. Perfect for two people for summer or winter holidaying (there's enough space for a cot bed too). 10 minute drive or bus-ride to Annecy centre. The bus stop is within walking distance. The flat has its own entrance and is fully equipped for your stay in the beautiful Haute-Savoie. Original a livestock and hay barn, the building was renovated in the 1990's to create a character property. It is situated on the northern edge of Annecy (in the commune of Pringy), within walking distance of the chateau of Promery. The owners live above the studio and so are on-site to help with any issues or sight-seeing ideas. The studio flat comprises a fix double queen bed (not a sofa bed), a kitchenette with fridge, hot plates and combi-oven/microwave, kettle, coffee maker and toaster, television, desk and bathroom with a large shower. The studio comes equipped with sheets and towels. The ceiling is a little low at 197cm. There is parking on-site (sufficient for 2 vehicles) and WiFi. A storage room adjoining the flat is available for your use and contains a washing machine, dryer, a second fridge/freezer and plenty of space to store your gear. Particularly useful for Winter holidaying. A small, south-facing terrace in front of the studio has a table and chair for sunny breakfast. The owners will be available to transfer and receive the keys and are on-site in a separate flat above the studio if there are any issues. This is a quiet residential neighbourhood with lovely views out over the Parmelan plateau. An excellent haut-cuisine restaurant (Le Clos du Chateau) is 5 minutes' walk from the apartment. Annecy centre is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the apartment or you can take bus 18 and change at the hospital. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and the stop is within 5 minutes' walk. Geneva is about 40 minutes away by car. Chamonix and the Mont Blanc tunnel for access to Italy is 1h15 minutes distant. The closest motorway exit is Annecy Nord on the A41. Local attractions include the historic centre of Annecy, mountain walks in the Alps, the Gorge du Fier, swimming in the lake in summer and skiing in winter. The nearest ski resort is Semnoz which is 45 minutes' drive away. La Clusaz is 1 hour distant and Chamonix 1 hour 15 minutes.
