All bedrooms are large double rooms with high quality furniture and linen. the games room and brilliant garden areas along with the open plan room make it an amazing place to stay with friends and family. The cottage is not for party bookings. The cottage sits in the picturesque Kent countryside and has plenty of local attractions and historical towns for families to enjoy. The cottage itself offers quality throughout, it is fully equipped with everything you need from the kitchen to high thread count towels and linen. The furniture is all of high qualityand the games room with table tennis and football offers fun for everyone. The garden area has recently been refurbished, it has a sunken seat area and garden tabled BBQ area all under pergola rafters as well as a large artificial grass area. The cottage has five double bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed with a walk-in wardrobe and en suite. The second bedroom has a double bed with en suite. The third bedroom can be used as a twin room or super king-size bed. This room also has a single sofa bed if needed. The fourth Bedroom four has a double bed. The fifth Bedroom has a double bed with single sofa bed if needed. The main bathroom has a free standing bath and walk through shower. There is also a separate toilet room downstairs. The cottage also has a large utility room and cloakroom. The games room has a full size table tennis table, table football, board games and cards. self access Guests are able to contact me at all times with any questions they have or advice on the area. The cottage has all you could want for a relaxing getaway. It is situated on the Hoo Peninsula and so walks into the countryside are immediately on your door step. The Saxon Shore Way and the Heron bike trail are two ways to experience this scenery. The Dickens Walk around Higham will also take you past Gads Hill Place, the home of Dickens, where tours are available. After a day of exploring, you can also visit the nearby quaint local pub, The Stone Horse, to enjoy its log burning fire and great comfort food. There are plenty of attarctions for families to enjoy St Andrews lake - water sports Cyclo park - cycling centre Diggerland - small theme park Fenn bell coservation - small zoo Rochester high st - Castle and cathedral Leeds castle - historic grounds, concerts, events Kent coast line - beaches The cottage is the perfect base to explore the local historic towns, most notably the historic town of Rochester, famously associated with Charles Dickens. Rochester is a five to ten minute drive by car and has many must see attractions including the Rochester Cathedral, Castle and also it’s charming vintage High Street with many bars and restaurants. Dickensian festivals are held in the Summer months and at Christmas, while the Castle grounds hold the spectacular Summer concerts and Christmas markets. Leeds castle is also a popular attraction nearby. The coastline and beaches of Kent are easily accessable in under an hour from the cottage. ⁃ London is 45 minutes away by either car or train and so the cottage is perfectly placed to either escape the busy city life for a relaxing break, or as a base to explore London and all its tourist attractions. ⁃ By car, the A2 connects directly into London as well as Bluewater, one of the UK’s largest shopping centres. - By train, Higham train station connects to Charing Cross station and Strood train station connects to Kings Cross Station. There is a fast train service available from Kings Cross to Strood which takes 35 minutes. - Ebbs Fleet international train station is also twelve minutes drive from the cottage. - Gatwick airport and Stansted airport are also within an one hour drive from the cottage. - The cottage offers parking at the front of the property for up to five cars comfortably and there is also a garage.
