Summary: The Pickle Factory is tucked away at the corner of Tobacco and Electric Alley, less than an 8-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati, 5-minute drive from the Newport Aquarium, and a 3-minute walk away from the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. It's conveniently located within walking distance of local eateries, live music, coffee shops, breweries and bars, a food market, many local shops. The history of this building has been uniquely woven into every detail of the design of each room. At different points in time, it was a soft drink factory, a pickle factory, and one of the first African-American Odd Fellows lodges. The original owner was Henry Wenzel, a successful businessman and the reason for the name of this specific room. The Space: Pop, fizz, clink! In the mid-1800s, this building housed the Covington Bottling Works, a soda pop factory (then called mineral water). Inspired by that history, we created a room completely devoted to that sweet soda life. From the color of the walls to the round penny tile and bubble chandelier, this room is filled with lighthearted fun and sugar-soaked energy. One bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom, large window with natural light, living area with TV, kitchenette with two-burner stove, mini-fridge, and necessary amenities. Guest Access: Guest will receive door codes to the building and their rooms via email after booking and signing our terms and agreement policy. The Neighborhood: Covington, KY is a historic city, founded in 1815, full of stunning architecture, rich history, and people who treasure it enough to bring it back to life. In recent years, Covington has seen a rise in trendy eateries, local artists, and growing businesses. It has a city feel and opportunities within a small town size and comfort. Getting Around: Most things are in walking. If driving there is street parking or garage parking at the Midtown Parking Garage, also known as the 5th Street Parking, walk down Electric Alley until you see the building on the left-hand side.
