Gaia’s Garden is an ecological community in Auroville. It's 1 km from the Bay of Bengal, 5 km from Matrimandir and 7 km from Pondicherry. There are 7 double rooms and 3 family units surrounded by 2.5 acres of garden flourishing with flora & fauna. Finding fireflies and shining stars in the night, you realize you're in the arms of Mother Earth. Clean, peaceful and quiet. By staying with us you contribute to the development of Auroville. No alcohol, no drugs, no smoking in the building. Verena is ideal for family on the first floor of our main building with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a private terrace. A bed room with air-conditioner and a bedroom cum living room with sitting place. Our garden has unique beauty. Beloved by people for photo shooting of their marriage, music album and professional work(permission required). Every Summer we empty the room one by one for cleaning maintenance work. When Kireet was making a world trip in his twenties, he often slept in a tiny room. He wanted to make our guests feel not on the road, but at home. Rooms are spacious with a large bed (separable), a desk and large windows connected with the garden. People who like to spend quiet holidays in nature and cook own food prefers our place. There is a collective kitchen with 2 refrigerators, dynamised drinking water filter, coffee makers, e-kettles, mixers and private food safe. 3 Covered terraces in the main building, a tea pavilion and a sitting place under the banyan tree. I'll be happy to talk about our place Auroville, and answer the questions in the day time. Our manager Mr. Murugan is kind and helpful l whenever you need. Auroville is 50 years old community with 46 different nationals from all over the world. It's an eco-friendly-village living in harmony and peace trying touching the soul. Mediation in Matrimandir, Lunch at Solar Kitchen, shopping in Pour Tous, attending the classes, cultural events available for you as a registered Auroville Guest (Aurocard will be issued for you at our place). Discover the hidden beauty of Auroville by walking/jogging/cycling in Auroville's Greenbelt, and enjoy sunset and sunrise on the beach (1 km down the road). From Chennai Airport : catch Metro to Guindy Metro station. transit TNSTC or PRTC Bus via ECR route From Pondicherry : any bus drives to Chennai via ECR road. Off the bus in Bommyapalayam (1 stop before Auroville road from Chennai to Pondicherry)-> walk to Hotel Mangohill-->sign board Gaia's Garden Parking available in the premises. Electric bikes/ cycles/ motor cycles can be rented. All of our guests should register themselves with ID proof (Aadhar card, driver's license, passport, or Pan card). Foreign nationals including OCI &CIO visa holders should come with their passports and valid visas. No alcohol, no drugs, no smoking & no shoes in the building, no TV like any other guest houses in Auroville. Power back up power supply for light, plug point, and ceiling fan but not for Air conditioner. All Air-conditioners are inverter type. In the night we request our guests to keep silent and respect other guests. If there is loud talk, we may have to request "leave the premises." In this case we won't refund.
