Stable Cottage is one of 6 cottages converted from the original farm buildings in 1989. It is situated in Exmoor National Park and within walking distance (across the fields) of Wheddon Cross with a pub, village shop and petrol station. Within easy driving distance of local attractions: 7 miles from the medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle, Porlock and Tarr Steps, 9 miles from the beach & West Somerset Steam Railway. Ask if we have special offers for 4+ nights in the spring & autumn. Our cottages are set within 18 acres of our own grounds comprising gardens and fields with private access to a bridlepath and footpaths. There's a huge BBQ, picnic tables and a sunny south facing terrace - perfect for a cup of tea or early evening G & T! We also have a communual space with table tennis, small pool table & board games. Groups are also welcome to use the barn to eat together. We will bring you a lovely Somerset cream tea once you have settled in. Stable Cottage has a private, fenced patio garden as well as access to the shared communal gardens. The cottage is on two floors with the kitchen, dining and sitting area on the ground floor, 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the 1st floor. It is completely self-contained. There is gas central heating throughout the cottage. We live in a separate farm-house on site so are on hand if you have any queries or would like information about the local area. Little Quarme Cottages are perfect for those who would like to take advantage of the walking and cycling opportunities on Exmoor. We offer car-free access to bridleways and footpaths. You will need a car here as there is limited public transport. There is a pond in the grounds so small children should be supervised. Dogs are very welcome but not allowed on the furniture (even with a blanket) or in the bedrooms/upstairs.
