Tropical retreat, Cardwell Queensland

Warm welcome to our self- contained one bedroom/bathroom attached to a tropical style residence in the Kennedy Valley only 10 minutes from Cardwell by-the-sea and its cafes, restaurants, pubs and services. The deck overlooks a beautiful tropical garden with a large in-ground pool. Resident stone-curlews and other wildlife make the residence unsuitable for pets. Bird life is abundant and privacy is assured. The accommodation is accessed by a driveway to the back of the house with secure parking for car/boat/trailer. Entrance is via a private deck with a self-catering kitchen and access to both the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom leads into the laundry. The hosts are happy to help with information on services etc. available in the community and ideas for activities/excursions during your stay. Cardwell's famous spa pool is close by as is the access road to the Kirama Range and Blencoe Falls. The local store offers basic supplies and fuel at competitive prices. Girringun aboriginal museum and Art Centre and the Cardwell Art Gallery offer a unique culture experience. Cardwell does not have a taxi service but some of the hotels/clubs offer courtesy buses. Favourite cafe is Beachcomber - part of a motel overlooking the water. The Marine hotel, also waterfront, has great pub food & liquor store. Ob La Di has an impressive range of fashion & homewares.
