Welcome to our beloved, comfy, family home - nestled in the Snowdonia National Park. With fantastic panoramic views over the sea and backed by mountains, it is very light, airy, homely and a perfect place for relaxing. There is a whole host of local activities and stunning locations to keep all ages busy - from fantastic beaches, mountains, waterfalls to historic towns/ villages, castles, train-rides, zipwires and farms, so you can walk, cycle, golf etc - whatever you choose to do. "We loved our time here so much! This house and the location brings balm to the soul and lots of things to do... We will be back, and then back again." Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Llanfair, it's only a short walk to the stunning 4 mile long Harlech beach, just 1.5 miles from the picturesque town of Harlech and it's medieval castle (and the ex-Steepest Street in the World!) It's only minutes away from a Children's Farm Park and Llanfair slate mines. "Bay View" is fully fitted with everything you need to make your stay comfortable – dishwasher, washing machine, well-equipped kitchen, TV, freeview, microwave, 2 power showers, toys for children, lots of games, selection of DVDs and videos, books, maps, high-chair, booster seat etc. ROOMS Large front conservatory - with table and chairs, comfy chairs and stunning views. Patio and decking area - with seating and table for outdoor living and dining. Lounge area - open plan with 2 comfy sofas, dining table and spectacular views. Kitchen - well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer. Bedroom 1 - King size bed, drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 - King size bed, drawers and wardrobe. Bedroo (Website hidden by Airbnb) single beds and drawers. Bathroom 1 - bath, power shower, toilet, sink. Bathroom 2 - access via the enclosed rear conservatory; toilet, power shower, sink, heated towel rail. Rear conservatory - area for clothes drying, equipment storage. Enclosed gardens front and rear. Heating is with cosy storage heaters in each room. No Wi-Fi, but good 4G reception generally. Well behaved pets welcome. NB - the drive is quite STEEP for those with limited mobility. There is alternative access via wooden steps up through the garden and up another step. Not suitable for wheelchair access. The whole bungalow is yours to use, along with the front conservatory and patio - which have superb and stunning views - and the front and back gardens. I don't live locally currently, but can easily be contacted by Airbnb message or phone. Our lovely neighbour is on hand to assist, should you need anything during your stay. BEACHES - The nearest beach is the stunning, 4 mile long Harlech beach, which you can walk to in 15 minutes down a (steep!) coastal path or drive to in 5 minutes. There is also Llandanwg beach with it's Beach Cafe and rock pools, about 3 minutes by car and Shell Island, with it's stunning sand-dunes is about 10 minutes away. MOUNTAINS - The Rhinog mountains are located immediately behind the bungalow. Snowdon is about 45 minutes away, which you can either walk up or climb aboard the Heritage Steam train. Cadair Idris is about one hour south. Snowdonia National Park has 9 mountain ranges to choose from, containing over 90 peaks and 100 lakes. TOWNS - the picturesque town of Harlech (a UNESCO World Heritage site) is only 1.5 miles away or a stunning 25 minute walk away, with its medieval Castle, (ex-!) Steepest Street in the World, access to the Wales Coast path, championship award winning Royal St David's golf course, restaurants, cafes, bars, award winning ice-cream shop, swimming pool and climbing wall. Portmerion, the enchanting Italian village and gardens - the location for The Prisoner TV series and an episode of Cold Feet - is about 20 minutes away. Other local coastal towns include Porthmadog and Barmouth, which are well worth visiting too. NATURE - Up behind the bungalow are mountains to climb, forests, waterfalls, lakes and streams, cycle routes or walk to the village's Children's Farm Park and Llanfair Slate Caverns. The list is endless and all there for you to enjoy nearby... Parking is available both on the drive or on the quiet cul-de-sac. You can walk to the beach or the local town of Harlech easily and could visit without a car. The nearest train station is Llandanwg which is 20 minutes walk away with good links all over the Welsh coastline and to the Midlands. Roads and trains are good, generally quiet and very picturesque. We use 100 percent carbon neutral fuel sources, just incase you are interested to know!
