Merigan Garden Cottage

The historical gardener’s cottage is part of Merigan farm, located 15 mins from Bungendore, and situated in the homestead grounds. The grounds include a clay tennis court and bocce court, the use of which is available for your use. DOG Friendly. Please note that the Merigan Homestead complex is down a 3 kms dirt road. After rain sometimes the road can be slippery and rutted but we do maintain it and if you travel slowly there are no problems with most vehicles. The cottage is surrounded by oak trees and flower beds with garden views, with a separate bathroom, with a shower. The queen bed sleeps 2 people but there’s room for an additional mattress if needed. There is a fitted out kitchenette, Wi-Fi, and includes access to the extensive garden. The cottage boasts a fireplace, ideal for winter nights. The space is utilised well and allows for a dining table and cooking facilities which are adjacent to the lounge and sleeping areas. The farm is large and is available to be utilised for hiking and picnics. Located 3 and half hours from Sydney, 45 minutes from Canberra’s centre, 15 minutes to Bungendore and close to Tarago and the artistic farming town of Braidwood. Access all the grounds, the tennis court, the bocce court. Your cottage is your own space, and I am available, or somebody will be on call as required. The property is an operating sheep farm.
