The Moulin - A mill accommodating up to 6 people

Situated on an award-winning working vineyard. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday, you will appreciate this beautiful region with its hills and valleys, its intense quality of light and a wide variety of places to visit. Accommodation comprises a large living room with fitted kitchen area, plus a small reading room with a fireplace in the mill tower. There are two double bedrooms, and two beds on the mezzanine area. Bathroom and separate WC. Outside there is a garden, a terrace of 56m² and a barbecue. A swimming pool measuring 15m x 6m is available to guests (shared with 2 other gites), with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. A tennis court is situated under the shade of large pine trees, and a boules pitch is also available for guest use. Our properties are nestled among over 90 hectares of forest, vines and garrigue, teaming with wildlife with an 11th century chapel overlooking the vines. Mountain bikes are available for hire or you are welcome to explore on foot. We give you space to relax and be independent, and we provide a book with lots of information on the vineyard and surrounding area. We are usually in the office weekdays should you need any additional information, or fancy a wine tasting. The village of Laure Minervois, 2 km away, provides for some shopping needs, whilst the larger towns of Trèbes (13km) and Carcassonne (17km) offer a large choice of supermarkets and shops. Within an hour you can be in the Pyrénées, the Black Mountains, on the coast or in the heart of the wine regions and also visit Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne. Carcassonne is a 20 minutes drive away and has train, airport and bus services. A few mountain bikes are available for hire. Free parking onsite. The gite has wifi, and there is wifi in the public spaces. The connection varies between 10-40 MB/s, and we are waiting for fibre optic internet to be installed. Sheets and bedcovers are supplied, and beds made upon arrival. We ask guests to provide their own towels for use by the pool.
