A bright, spacious apartment in a quiet, off-road site in the very centre of Perth close to all amenities. It has a well-equipped kitchen and Sonos sound system and a double sofa bed for occasional use. There is a good sized shower room but no bath. Perth is a small but perfectly formed city with several music venues, a theatre and a variety of high quality restaurants. It makes an ideal base for exploring Perthshire and beyond, with direct rail and bus links to all other Scottish cities. The centre of town is just five minutes walk away and the rail and bus stations are 10 minutes from the flat on foot. Guests have exclusive use of the entire flat and there is bench seating in the front and back gardens, which are shared by the residents of other apartments in the block. I live a 15 minute drive from the flat and can be contacted by mobile phone or email; a comprehensive guide (covering how to use equipment, local recommendations, etc.) is provided for guests The theatre, cinema, concert hall, museum and art gallery and lots of very good restaurants are all within 10-15 minutes walking distance. Scone palace is a 5 minute bus or car journey away. All of Perth centre is within easy walking distance, there is metered on-street parking (free after 6 PM and on Sundays) and cheaper long term parking in the nearby South Inch car park. The train and bus stations (with direct routes to all Scottish cities) is 10 minutes walk away. Guests will be provided with two keys for the apartment block and flat doors. The flat is all-electric; it is very well insulated and there are powerful storage heaters in the living room and hall, a timed convector heater in the bedroom and a moveable oil-filled radiator (in the unlikely event that more heating is needed). There is no need for a carbon monoxide detector but there are smoke alarms in the hall and living room. There is a heat alarm in the kitchen and all alarms are interlinked. When the weather gets too hot to handle (yes, this does sometimes happen in Scotland), there is a Dyson cool fan and ceiling circulating fan in the kitchen. There is a Dry-soon mini three tier heated dryer with cover, perfect for drying clothes but in addition the washing machine is a combined washer/dryer. There is fibre broadband, giving a very dependable 110 Mbps download speed (9 Mbps upload). There is metered parking on the street outside the property and cheaper long-term parking in the nearby South Inch car park. For longer stays, much cheaper weekly and monthly parking permits can be obtained from the council.
