The guest suite "Foveaux" is one of four private self contained studios set within a boutique victorian guest house, an authentic Newtown experience. The suite has a rich moody colour pallet which is finished in a mix of modern pop art, pink neon lighting and vintage ware. There is a small ensuite shower-room. There is a well lit hollywood vanity, perfect for preparing for theater, which doubles as a kitchenet containing bar fridge, basic food preparation, reheat cooking and dining equipment. The guest house is located a short walk from Enmore Rd and King streets which form the epicenter of Newtown's live entertainment, theater, small bar, pub and arts precinct. Newtown/Enmore is famous for Australia's longest streach of victorian commercial architecture, its alternative people, breweries, galleries, vinyl, vintage wares, theaters,small bars, street art and restaurants. The city is well connected by train; 2-3 stops direct from Sydney CBD. This is a unique Newtown experience. The guest house is located in Newtown; a colouful colonial Australian suburb which forms the heart of Sydney's artistic, bohemian, hipster, gay and alternative communities. The area holds a concentration of art spaces, live entertainment venues, restaurants and bars and is within one of Sydney's most popular night time precincts. The area is famous for vinyl, street art, vintage clothes, tatoo, home wares, pubs, small bars, emerging breweries and contains Australias longest run of victorian commercial buildings. Newtown train station is just over 5 minutes walk where the Sydney CBD is a direct 2-3-4 and 5 stop ride (Central, Town Hall, Wynyard and Circular Quay respectfully). There are buses running to the city and inner west such as Marrickville from the end of the street on Enmore Road. Marrickville, Stanmore and Erskineville are easy access on foot. Sydney University and the Royal Prince Alfred hospital is within walking distance. PARKING: Temp parking permits available at $10 per night. Guests may purchase these in advance to their stay - message Glenn. Any permits not used will be refunded after checkout. This allows unrestricted parking in the area around guest house (in restricted places/basically anywhere on street). If you are having trouble parking on arrival, you can run in collect the permit and place on your car window dash. To avoid billing Its best to get the free parking spaces, but for convenience of guests it is there for use. FREE PARKING: there is alot of free unrestricted parking on the north side of every east-west running street in the neighbourhood (basically half of all available parking). Including the side street to the guest house; Slone Street. Simmons Street has free unrestricted on the east side and Reiby Street on the west side. Arrive before 4:30pm daily to ensure you get a free unrestricted space. Newtown/Enmore gets busy in the evenings.
