Historic Market Town of Southwell 4 miles away, also walkable on footpaths. Blue Barn is semi-detached to the owner’s house, but is private. Homely and relaxed converted cattle shed; quiet rural English countryside village location. No street lights, located on a single track lane with just four other dwellings. Arable fields opposite the barn. Blue Barn is for the sole use of guests; Off-road parking for two vehicles; small dog secure garden; shed for muddy boots, bikes, pushchairs etc; fully-equipped kitchen; master bedroom with shower en-suite; living area with dining table, wood burning stove, smart TV and DVD player; main bathroom with combined bath/shower; second bedroom with bunkbeds and single sofa chair bed. Lots of things to do locally for all interests, please ask for any recommendations. Tourism information is also inside the Barn in the living area. Off-road parking for two vehicles at the barn, parked linear (not parallel parking). Easy to get around the local villages by car, on foot or bike. Fiskerton Train Station is located within the village, approx 2 mile walk from Blue Barn. Lots of footpaths and bridleways. Horses can come on holiday with you with prior arrangement. We (Chris or Kate) will meet guests at check-in to greet them and show them to Blue Barn. Guests will then be left to enjoy their stay independently, however we can be contacted at anytime for help or assistance as required. The local neighbourhood is very friendly, lots of people walk within the area due to the extensive footpaths, bridleways and famous River Trent. The local area is lucky to have a great number of pubs and cafes etc. There is an extensive list of places to eat and drink on our website and within the welcome folder in Blue Barn. Transport: 1. By car 2. By train (Fiskerton Train Station is located in the village) 3. By bus 4. On foot or bike - loads of foothpaths Maps and timetables etc are provided in Blue Barn. Blue Barn is situated on the edge of a small holding, and we have a fair few animals! Guests are very welcome to come and meet them, just let us know when booking or upon arrival so we can sort out a convenient time. Please do not just access the animal paddocks without Kate or Chris as they are on private property not accessed from the barn. *Please note this may not always be available, but we will try our best to accommodate*
