Please note: you can purchase firewood for $40 The design and styling of our Guesthouse is modern, clean and chic; providing an elegant country getaway with all the modern comforts. Quiet and private; just outside the door is your own botanic gardens free to roam, picnic and photograph. The accommodation is styled with elegant timber pieces including Queen Bed + Bedsides, Dresser, Wardrobe and Sofa with Ottoman. The kitchen features a coffee machine, LG fridge /freezer, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, cooktop and stone benchtop with sink. There is a large timber island benchtop for dining, serving food and work/ study. Split-cycle air-conditioning and Fireplace provide the perfect temperature and atmosphere for guests to feel cosy and comfortable. Free high-speed WIFI is provided and guests can work remotely with confidence. A wall-mounted flat screen television with HDMI cord allows guests to connect devices and watch their streaming services. The windows have sheer curtains and roll-down blinds for various privacy options and light filtering. The down-lights have dimmers for various lighting needs from cooking to relaxing. I provide recycling, soft plastic and compost for a sustainable earth-conscious approach to holiday accommodation. Guests have no need to interact with anyone on the property. Your Host will meet you on arrival and show you a few handy things in the Guesthouse and then give you a quick overview of the property and gardens. Afterwards guests are left to enjoy their stay and can contact the host via text with any queries. Guests can expect a prompt reply. Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass cow paddocks, mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property. The area is a mix of houses, hobby farmers, homes on acreage, equestrian centres, produce growers and National Park. There is a glorious look-out in the National Park overlooking the Warragamba dam. Some days it is swept with clouds; enveloping you into the majestic heavens. It’s an easy ten min drive away. Once guests have their booking confirmed; the hosts will provide an emailed info pack on the local area with local attractions including bushwalking, dining options, and where to get coffee! Car is reccommended, however buses can be hailed directly in front of the property and service 'The Oaks' 'Camden' ' Campbelltown' and 'Picton'. You are required to have an 'OPAL' card, and can download the 'Opal travel' app to access timetable, which is very efficient. Uber and Taxi are not well established in the area. The accommodation is safe, cosy and has everything you need. The area is 3-5 degrees cooler/ warmer then Sydney over Winter and Summer seasons. There is local shops for essentials and bigger stores in the Historic town of Camden (18 mins drive.) and also the charming town of Picton. You can detour to Camden on your way to the property from Sydney or Stop in Picton if coming from the South.
