I've recently adopted a rescue cat (Don Juan or DJ) who has settled in well with me (just like guest usually do too) but he still runs away from other people. I want you to feel at home here, especially in your own high quality appointed, private Queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom, TV (free to air only throughout the apartment) with CD player and work desk with views of northern suburbs, airport and down to Palmerston. On the Podium level (3) of the building, you can enjoy relaxing in the infinity pool, get fit in the gym, play in the Pool and Games room or BBQ a meal at any of the 4 areas or practice your golf putting. Taxi or Uber to the CBD or Waterfront is just $10/12 or catch a local bus for $3 to all areas are available just 2 minutes away on either on Gilruth Avenue or Stuart Highway, and $30 taxi/uber to or from Darwin airport or Darwin Airport Shuttle. Unless I have made alternative arrangements with you, when you arrive at Spirit on the Avenue please follow the directions beside the front glass entrance doors to buzz my apartment so I can then unlock the doors and release the lift (to level 13) for you. Once settled in you will have your own key and swipe that will give you access to doors and lift (level 13 and 3 only). Guard this with your life - if lost you will be charged $200 for a new set (so please don't lose it!) As a writer I work from home most of the time - so I am readily available if required. I ask that you also respect my privacy sometimes as I also have writing deadlines and also enjoy wind down times! :-) But I'm sure we'll be able to work together nicely, just as I do when friends are staying. Please note I do not have air conditioning in the apartment but have windows and doors on 3 sides that allow beautiful fresh breezes to circulate. In the dry season (May to October) these remain open all the time even when we go out and overnight unless it is too windy (and this does happen too). There are ceiling fans, but these are hardly ever needed. Please also realise because everything is open I also do not use the bright room lights of a night time, only soft lamplight, to ensure we have no insects disturbing our enjoyment of the views and natural living.
