Newly renovated, tastefully decorated and fully equipped to a high standard, this cosy two bedroom apartment provides everything you need for a perfect beach-side family holiday. It is located within easy walking distance to all of Burgau's lovely restaurants, cafes and bars and is just 100 metres from the village bakery and well-stocked supermarket. Located on the second floor of a converted fisherman's house, this bright and breezy apartment has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a modern shower room, two bedrooms (1x double bed and 1 x twin beds), heating, double glazing and ceiling fans in all rooms. There is a private sun balcony leading directly from the lounge and principal bedroom. Guests also have access to a large communal roof top sun terrace , equipped with dining facilities, sofas and sun beds and boasting stunning panoramic views of the ocean and old village. For larger parties, the owners can also offer the option of an additional third double bedroom suite with private en-suite shower room and kitchenette, located on the floor above. Ample free car parking is readily available throughout the village including just outside the apartment. In bye-gone days, Burgau was an active smugglers village. Today it is a delightful family-friendly holiday destination with charming cobbled alleyways to explore and a fantastic sandy beach with arguably the best beach bar in Portugal. It remains a working fishing village and Burgau's friendly fishermen can be seen daily, mending their nets, painting their brightly-coloured boats or grilling their daily catch in the village alleyways. Burgau is also a perfect base from which to explore the stunning West Algarve coastline, mountains and beautiful countryside, making it ideal for hiking or cycling holidays. The vibrant regional capital town of Lagos, is just 8 kilometres away and easily accessed via a regular bus service to and from the village.
