La Touché, a former manorial hamlet in Courléon, France provides an idyllic country retreat in the Loire Valley with a heated pool, just 20 minutes from the River Loire with castles and vineyards. The heated pool (open May to Sep) is in a quiet, separate and secure courtyard with an established garden. The Gîtes have been lovingly restored with natural stone walls and beautiful oak beams full of charm and character, perfect for families to come and relax, enjoy the weather and good food. La Touché, with its own private driveway, stands on a slight rise in tranquil surroundings of fields and woods near the market towns of Bourgueil and Saumur. The Pigeonnier has been lovingly restored keeping the original features and dove coves. The downstairs consists of 2 bathrooms one with a shower and one with a bath, along with two large bedrooms one with a double and one with two singles; it has a washing machine if required. Upstairs you have a beautiful kitchen/diner to relax in with double doors which take you out to your own private roof top terrace to wind away the hours. Jamie and Anneli now live there all year round and have made it their home so are always on hand to help guide or make your stay more comfortable or just enjoy an evening drink with. They live in the main farmhouse just over from the courtyard and will welcome you on arrival; they look forward to greeting you. We are in a very pretty rural location with stunning panoramic views, you get a sense of space and nature, traffic is low so in the evenings you can enjoy the piece and quiet and watch the sunset or drive to one of the recommended restaurants or towns for a bit more nightlife
