Enter from the cobbled lane in to your cozy living / dining area with fully equipped modern kitchen in oak with granite bench tops . Refigerator, oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and everything you need to cook up a hearty meal . Sink in to the vintage leather arm chairs in front of the flat screen smart TV and wood burner . French doors lead to the private courtyard - perfect for drinks or dining under the lemon tree in the warmer months. A barbecue is provided. Your large bedroom features a contemporary sofa and coffee table as well as a super comfortable king size bed (160x200cm) with quality bed linen . Enjoy our collection of rare and quirky artwork and carpets. A comfortable cot is also available free of charge if you are travelling with a baby. Your ensuite bathroom features a walk in shower with rain and hand shower, and Moroccan argan oil hand soap and body wash. Your laundry is fully equipped with an automatic washing machine and dryer, with washing liquid provided . Vinho is one of the many historic villages in the high mountains of Portugal. Ten minutes from the beautiful city of Gouveia with it's rich history and twenty minutes from the city of Seia. There are wonderful country walks, Roman roads and bridges, architectural treasures as well as the exceptional food and wine for which the region has become so well known including the famous Serra da Estrela cheese. The cafe / bar, bakery and mini market are ten meters from your door providing almost everything you need including fresh bread baked right here in the village in wood fired ovens. The exceptional restaurant of Madre de Agua is an easy walk away or ride there on our new " Felt " bicycles. The village swimming pool and bar during the summer months is a five minute walk away as is the stunning 16th century church. The surrounding area has many superb typical restaurants a short drive away and there are Lidl and Intermarche supermarkets within two kilometers. Portugal's only ski resort is a 40 minute drive. Vinho is a three hour drive from Lisbon, four hours from Madrid and two hours from both Porto and Salamanca. Coimbra is a ninety minute drive. There are good train and bus services.
