Situated in an AONB and in a beautiful, tranquil wooded area, this secluded contemporary holiday lodge provides a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Our brand new holiday lodge is exceptionally well appointed with quality appliances. From the patio you can sit over a coffee and listen to birds sing. In the evening our dark skies provide an amazing view on a clear night. The lodge is privately situated in the paddock away from the main house. Keys can be accessed from the key safe. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with direct access to footpaths and byways covering the mendips this is perfect for walking, mountain biking, climbing, caving, horse riding, fishing and relaxing. A five minute walk leads to Nether Wood and then onto the Roman fortlet and amphitheatre (the settlement had a larger population than Bath back in 43BC!) Surrounded by the picturesque villages of Blagdon, Compton Martin, West Harptree, Rickford and Priddy, there are many local pubs providing delicious food and drink, perfect after that long walk. Nearby (10 min drive) the historic City of Wells is worth a visit (Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace being high on the list) as are the ever popular attractions of Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. 30 mins drive from Bristol, Bath and Weston-Super-Mare, this is a perfect base for days out and convenient for National Trust properties including Tyntesfield, Durham Park and Stourbridge and Glastonbury Tor. Bristol Airport is 15 mins drive.
