New Renovation Medieval MAISON BACCHUS (165m2)
MAISON BACCHUS - New Renovation Medieval House!
Beautiful renovation made with painstaking care to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere! From the moment you walk in you feel the sense of minimalism with attention to detail to bring the medieval times to life. The inside of the house always stays cool, even on the hottest summer days. The stylish 165m2 medieval house is located near the banks of the river Orbieu in the beautiful medieval village Lagrasse, in Southern France. The furnished property includes a private entrance, spacious & light living area, dining room table, fully equipped kitchen, full bathrooms with cabin showers and design marble handwash basins, a lovely private terrace ideal for enjoying a breakfast or relaxing and two bedrooms with luxurious beds with pillow top mattress and comfy pillows. The house can comfortably sleep 6. (Please bring your own beach towels) I have also equipped the property with washing / drying machine, high-speed wifi, flat screen wall mounted TV, books, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, maps and guides to the local area and board games for fun and cosy nights. Lagrasse is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and has a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, renowned for its artisan culture. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, rosemary, thyme and cyprus trees, Lagrasse Is located in the heart of the Corbieres between Carcassonne and Narbonne and only 40 minute from the beaches of the Mediteranean and 3 hours away from Barcelona. It provides not only an ideal base to explore this rich and historic region - Over a dozen medieval fortresses and castles just 40 km nearby -/ but also acts as a destination in itself (One of the oldest Abbeys of France tracking back to the VIII century, first constructed in the times of emperor Charlemagne.) Visitors can be swimming along the river in the evening sun and then within ten minutes enjoying one of the many local wines at a bar or a restaurant in the heart of the old village. Rarely a week goes past in the summer without a festival, a ‘brocante’, or a concert in the abbey. The village has several excellent restaurants, offering traditional / contemporary menus, a pizzeria, a bakery, café/bar, delicatessen, tabac, post office, doctors, chemist, galleries and many ‘caves’ selling their own wine. There are airports at Bezier and Carcasonne. We would recommend hiring a car from the airport, it is a 40 minute drive to Lagrasse from Carcasonne, and 1 hour from Bezier.
