Fairview Ridge Cottage

Situated on a 70 acre cattle property and only 25 minutes from Adelaide, Fairview Ridge is the highest property in the hills close to Hahndorf, commanding stunning views over the surrounding countryside. There are 2 bedrooms with beds for up to 6 people. We have a minimum stay of 5 nights. Rates are discounted for stays of a week or more and heavily discounted for stays of a month or more. Special rates for longer periods. The comfortable fully self-contained cottage style apartment provides accommodation for up to 6 people. The main bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and a 2-tiered bunk. There is a separate toilet and bathroom. The shower is above a small bath. The kitchen has no oven, but there are bench hot plates, a microwave and an electric wok. There is a gas barbecue oven on the verandah. Have a picnic and enjoy the magnificent views over the Onkaparinga valley towards Mt Lofty while friendly Murray Grey cattle graze in the paddock. Take a walk through natural bushland amongst native birds and kangaroos, or catch fish from one of the dams. There is a bus from Hahndorf to the city, leaving every hour or half hour depending on the time of day. Fairview Ridge is 20 minutes walk from the town of Hahndorf with its shops and cafes. We have reverse cycle air conditioning and a wood combustion heater. We ask that guests use the air conditioner for warmth during the day and only use the wood heater at nighttime.
