Le petit Belge. A little paradise!
A former small farmhouse converted into a remote little paradise to help you find peace and quiet. The place consists of a living room annex equipped kitchen, toilet, bathroom on the main level. There is access to two terraces, one covered and one fronting the private pool. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (beds 140 cm) and room for camper bed. Children's bed present. On garden level you will find the washing machine, an extra bedroom (140 cm), a toilet and a bathroom with shower. Only 4 km's away from Beaulieu-Sur-Dordogne, a lively small town with everything you need, a beautiful scenery on the Dordogne river bank and a famous 11th century roman abbey church, you will enjoy the setting and charm of this little farmhouse in your own small valley. Fantastic for hikes in the surrounding forest, near to Rocamadour, le Gouffre de Padirac, Le forêt des Singes, Castelnau-Bretenoux, Collonges-la-Rouge, Carennac, Tours de Merle, Cascade de Gimel, Cascade de Murel, Lostanges, ... You will have access to the house, the private swimming pool and the garden. You can park your car in the shade and use the BBQ. If we are not around, Natasja will be your host. She lives in the region for several years and is very familiar with the region and the local practicalities. She speaks Dutch, English and French. We're on the border of the Lot region with a lot of famous monuments to visit (Rocamadour, Goufre de Padirac, les Causses, Castelnau-Bretenoux). We are only 4 km away from the Dordogne river at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne where you can fish, kayak or hike along the river borders, in the very south of the Corrèze, a still undiscovered region with bucolic landscapes, and more than one 'most beautiful village of France' such as Curemonte, Collonges-la-Rouge,... Lots of woods, the waterfalls of Gimel and Murel, the barrages on the Dordogne, the ruins of Le Tour de Merle: all ver inviting. History lovers will enjoy the many roman churches, the town of Turrene, the renaissance house and the abbey church in Beaulieu etc.. The house is surrounded by prairies and woods inviting you to make nice walks. Car absolutely necessary. Terrain is rather steep. Perhaps you will be most surprised by the sound of silence and the enormity of starry sky at nights. The sound of the Palsou stream next to the property makes it all the more peaceful.
