LITTLE TYLEGLAS is a 16th century farmhouse based in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park near Hay-On-Wye. Same family ownership of 450 years. stunning views and an ideal location for relaxing with friends and family, walking, riding, cycling, canoeing, artists and yoga, this really is an idyllic retreat. ample private parking early arrival and late check outs ( with arrangement with Chris) Sleeps up to 9 has private Tennis Court Village pub 5 minute walk Hay on Wye 5 miles furnished professionally to a very high standard and its cosy. We really do like to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and a home from home. Please be aware that the water system at the farmhouse is low pressure gravity fed. It is adequate and the water is very hot however it is not a high pressure power system. There is radio based broadband at the farmhouse. its been reliable but please dont stream or download in HD. its best to preload movies before you come and use your modem. No TV at present. ( this might change). The guests have a private front garden accessed at the side of the property and from the downstairs garden (Website hidden by Airbnb) is parking for up to six cars at the property. The side garden from the conservatory is for our guests it is lawn with a rose and mixed flower border and has a picnic table for the guests use. A low wall separates this lawn from the upper lawn terrace which is also for the guests enjoyment, it is planted with cherry tress and magnolias. I sometimes cross here to get to my bookshop. The guests have full use of the Tennis Court and the seated patio area along the court; the whole area being about half an acre. All day there are sunny areas and shaded areas. The front garden, large lawn, picnic tables, tennis court are all for our guests enjoyment. No access to adjoining fields because we have long horn cattle and sheep. We are in the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park near the delightful town of Hay On Wye. Little Tyle Glas, is a Welsh name translated it means means little green hillside and Gwernyfed (our parish) means holy place in the alder trees. There is spacious parking for six cars on-site at the farmhouse. bikes can be kept in the conservatory. The nearest bus service is at Glasbury ( 2miles) and Hay-on-Wye (4.5 miles). Abergavenny and Hereford Stations are 40 minutes drive/taxi. I can provide a recommended taxi company details on request and can do all I can to greet you and show you around on your arrival. Chris. Good village pub ( 1 mile) local Pony Trekking ( I.5 mile). local Gliding ( 3miles) great cycling, Little Tyleglas is on a blue cycle route National Trust and Cadw listed buildings easy distance by car ( Tretower court is 15 minutes).
