Studio Barn at Blakemore

Beautiful self contained private studio on the first floor of a converted barn, providing a very comfortable living space,with wonderful views across orchards to the River Severn. The bathroom has an electric shower and heated towel rail and the studio has a recently installed a Fischer electric radiator making it very warm and cosy. The kitchenette has a microwave/oven, fridge, toaster and induction hob. Stunning garden fields and woods to explore. Blakemore Studio is set in a beautiful location in the Forest of Dean with easy access to the historic towns of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ross on Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow. There are wonderful walks from the house which is a short distance from the woods. In the Forest of Dean there is a bike hire centre, canoes can be hired to paddle down the river Wye. Explore Puzzle Wood (which featured in Harry Potter films) Clearwell caves. The River Severn, is famous for its tidal range, the third largest in the world, and the Severn bore can be observed a short distance from Blakemore. Guests are welcome to walk around our fields, where sheep and lambs often graze, sit and enjoy the garden, play table tennis and smell the flowers. I am very happy to share a cup of tea and some local knowledge. I love walking in the fields and wooded hills I also like to bike in the woods and lanes. There is a local bus service very near to the property but having a car or a bicycle opens so many more possibilities. Local restaurants are approximately 2 miles away. No less than two nights stay
