Private wing of 3 rooms in our home with sunny bedroom, sitting room and spa bathroom. Walking distance to village style shops, train, bus, beaches, eateries, pubs, local theatre/gallery, winebar, boat harbour/fishing pier. Frankston line train in both directions, to city and Frankston. Five minute drive to Southland and cinemas, DFO shopping outlet, Moorabbin airport. Private garden, quiet neighbourhood. Please note that we have steps leading up to front entrance. We offer a private wing in our home - this includes a lovely sunny bedroom with queen sized bed and wardrobe space with abundant hangers, private spa bathroom with shower and toilet, linen, doonas, beach towels and bath towels, hairdryer, bikes, games, TV and DVD's, dressing gowns, coats, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen. You are welcome to share the communal areas of our home - private front and rear gardens, BBQ, kitchen, lounge room, music room, outdoor entertaining room,and laundry. If you enjoy tickling the ivories or strumming the guitar, you will find both in the music room, as well as books galore and for the keen photographer, use of a camera tripod. Off street parking available. Please note that we do have a number of steps to the front and rear of the property. We interact with our guests as little or as much as they like. We are happy to collect you from the nearby railway station on your arrival and will assist you as much as possible with your requirements during your stay. We love helping guests settle in to Australia and have a range of maps, books and travel information. Only 850 metres to Parkdale beach, close to parks, 600 metres to the Parkdale railway station Frankston line train, buses and shops, dry cleaner, library, bank post office, bowls club, medical services, supermarkets, and Shirley Burke Theatre and gallery, where you can be entertained by live local theatre groups. You will never go hungry as the selection of local restaurants represent many different cuisines including Peruvian, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Fine dining, fish and chips, pizza, roast chicken and take away. Chadstone shopping centre is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and can be accessed by bus. Southland shopping centre, and cinemas can be accessed by bus or train and you can walk to Mentone, Parkdale Plaza shops and Mordialloc for wine bars, pubs and shopping, fishing and boating, beach and entertainment. From Tullamarine Airport you take the Sky Bus to Southern Cross Station and from there take the Frankston line train to Parkdale Station (or you can catch the Skybus all the way to Mentone). Driving from the airport takes about 1 hour. We are walking distance to beach and all amenities. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU REQUIRE A MYKI TRAVEL CARD IN MELBOURNE TO USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Please note that we have a lovely friendly retriever. We are located 29 kms from the city centre. All public transport requires you to purchase a special MYKI card. The train trip takes approximately 35-45 minutes to Flinders Street or Southern Cross stations, 20 minutes to Caulfield Station for access to Monash University or Caulfield racecourse or Richmond Station for the Melbourne Cricket Ground for cricket , Australian Open Tennis Championships and football matches.
