1 Bed gite, close to Sarlat, Montignac, Rocamadour

Gite La Salamonie is a beautiful fully equipped 1 bed gite with garden in a small quiet village with views across the fields. Located 25 mins from Sarlat, 45 mins from Rocamadour, 30 mins from Rouffignac and15 mins from Brive airport ...making it an ideal location for visiting Sarlat, Lascaux, Rocamadour, Collonges la Rouge, Dordogne & Vezere rivers, Chateaux Beynac/Castelnaud, Domme, La Roque Gageac, Jardins d'eyrignac and many more beautiful places. Gites La Salamonie is located in the beautiful Dordogne countryside and perfectly located for exploring the Dordogne and the Lot. Part of a large barn that has been lovingly renovated our 1 bed holiday house is spacious and comfortable. It has a double bedroom with a new mattress, feather duvets and pillows, all bed linen (alternatives can be provided for those with allergies), a large walk in shower (bath towels and hand towels provided) and separate toilet. The living area consist of a large open plan sitting room and full equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, fridge , washing machine and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There is also use of a freezer if required. The outside area is a large area with a shaded spot under the walnut tree, there are a table and chairs and gas BBQ provided. Please note that Gites La Salamonie has a strict no smoking policy. The gite has it's own parking space and private entrance with outside eating and sitting area. We live 200 m's from the gite in our family home - our 13 year old boys (fluent in French and English) spend much of their time playing in the garden, we also have two very friendly dogs ....all of us are around to help you or offer advice if you require. Please note that we do not accept pets. The Dordogne is home to over 1001 châteaux’s and we are close to many of the large and most beautiful ones such as Domme, Castlenaud, Milandes and Beynac. This area also boasts some truly magnificent gardens and ‘Les Jardins d'Eryignac’ are 15 minutes from us, about ½ an hour away are award winning ‘Les jardins de l'imaginaire’ in Terrasson. Other gardens in the region include Les jardins d'eau, Carsac, Le Clos des Sources, Marqueyssac gardens. The Dordogne is also homes to literally hundreds of caves of which most are open to the public. Probably the most famous are the Lascaux caves in Montignac (30 mins from us) meticulously recreated from the original Lascaux 4 is a must see, but there are many others all within easy reach of La Salamonie. There is a private off road parking space which is mostly in the shade of a large tree. A car is essential to reach shops and restaurants as there are no shops or restaurants in the village Covid 19 - all areas of the gite will be cleaned thoroughly between bookings and areas such as lightswitches/door handles etc will be disinfected with bleach spray before your arrival. We provide all bedding and linen but if you would prefer to bring your own then please let us know. If you have any questions then please let us know. We leave a small welcome back and the basics in the kitchen for our guests to use whilst they are staying at La Salamonie. For those guests who require it we also offer the following..(please enquire for costs) - we can do any shopping you require in advance and make sure it's all ready for you when you arrive. - we can provided you with prepared meals (2/3 courses) or bbq packs or breakfast. Please be aware that La Salamonie is a small village in a very quiet rural location - there are no shops or restaurants in the village.
