Vineyard Cottages or Zidanice as they are called in Slovene are charming houses built in the vineyards on picturesque hills of Dolenjska region. In the old days Zidanice were used to store wine and as a place where vineyard master could host his closest friends. Every Zidanica has to have a wine cellar and cottage Luštek is no different. All guests receive the keys of the cellar and can taste our local wines during their stay. We greet every guest with our own wine, local meat products and other homemade specialties. Visit us in autumn and help us during grape harvest season. We will show you the process of making wine and perhaps you can become a true vineyard cottage master. Cottage Luštek is surrounded by vineyards and other vineyard cottages with a marvellous view on Novo mesto and Krka river valley. Novo mesto city is an old medieval town with the museum Dolenjski Muzej. Franciscan monastery, town hall and St. Nicholas Church as some of the most important sites.
