Holiday home in Mollans near Vaison la Romaine

The house has another independent home on the ground floor (groups can rent both for 14 people). Mollans sur Ouvèze is a lovely village offering all amenities including organic shop and many services, reachable by foot from the house. Our main photo is taken from the terrace overlooking the village and the valley of the river Ouvèze, with the Rocher de Saint Julien at Buis-les-Baronnies in the perspective. Almost in front of the house is the Baume des Eyguiers, a spectacular limestone cliff with an overhang making it a must-climb for climbers. The kitchen is large and very well equipped -- we cook a lot when we stay ourselves. The detached house is about 150 years old and is divided into tow independent homes, one on the ground floor (my sister's) and ours on the first and second floors (plus a ground-floor entrance hall and stairs). Our home is 130sq metres + terrace about 15 sq m. Parking space is just off the door under a huge lime tree. In front of the door outside is a private area. We offer three bedrooms plus a mezzanine bedroom (normal size and ceiling height but shut off by curtains). Two WC, one shower, one large corner bath. Large groups can rent the two homes of the house to accommodate up to 14 people. We are usually not present in person on your arrival but a lady in the village is available and we are constantly available on the phone. Mollans is a beautiful and very friendly village where you can enjoy night strolls in the narrow streets around the chateau, a BBQ at one of the two cafés and walks in the countryside from the village. The Bureau de tourisme (at the post office) has lots of information. The village also has many services, a surgery with several medical practitioners, a top-class butcher, a local winegrower's shop, an organic shop, a hairdresser's and a standard general shop. Bathing is possible in the Toulourenc (nearest spot: 10' drive + 10' by foot; we can give you a route) and at the Trois Rivières (near a campsite), west of the village, as well as up the Ouvèze after Buis les Baronnies. The area is renowned for cycling routes (Mont Ventoux; bike rent in Buis), climbing sites (Bureau des Guides in Buis les Baronnies), aromatic plants (Maison des plantes à Buis), olive oil (olive mill in Mollans and in Buis), Roman remains (in Vaison, Orange, etc.), Provençal markets (Wednesday in Buis, Tuesday in Vaison, Saturday in Mollans). Many restaurants offer high-class food of all sorts (La Vieille Poste in Entrechaux). Orange and Avignon are about an hour away. Trains run to Orange and buses connect Orange to Mollans. By car the village is an hour's drive from the motorway exit at Orange or Bollène. Route to 150 rue des Granges will be sent by email on request. The entrance is private and the hall is large enough to store baby buggies, etc. A map of the village is sent after reservation showing the exact location of the house and the best route (SatNav gives you a route which is correct but not the most convenient).
