Raglan coastal town with it's famous surfing beaches and attractions is just a 15 minute drive. Featuring two bedrooms and a separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom with central heating and air conditioning, Maple tree cottage is the perfect peaceful countryside retreat. A cozy, clean and comfortable two bedroom cottage with one Queen bed, two single beds and a travel cot (available upon request). A new heating/cooling system makes this an inviting home all year round. Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend retreat or a family holiday, Maple tree cottage will not disappoint. The cozy living room invites you to relax with a chrome cast wall mounted TV and unlimited wi-fi. The large deck overlooks a small orchard and beautiful country views. Washer/dryer available in separate laundry room. Local reserves, walks and waterfalls close by. A great location for enjoying outdoor pursuits. Here are just a few of the many attractions in the area: Bridal Veil Waterfall Walk is a medium 0.5km walk. It'll take you around 20mins to get to the bottom and a bit longer on the way back up. It's a great walk down the the Bridal Veil Waterfall, but a good 300 steps back up to the top again. The water plunges 55 metres down into soft sandstone. Ngarunui Beach in Raglan is a must to visit; a magnificent blacksand surfing beach, ideal for swimming, and perfect for learning to surf or simply sunbathing on the sand. Manu Bay for avid surfers is the first, and most popular, of the well-known Raglan point breaks. It is a long left-hand point break on a boulder beach. On an epic day, you can surf right through from Indicators, to Whale Bay, to Manu Bay. Best for advanced to expert surfers. Mount Karioi - For trekkers, you can take a trek to the summit of Raglan’s Sleeping Lady The views from the top are spectacular; on a clear day you can see Mt Taranaki, Pureora, Maungamangero, Te Aroha, Pirongia and Maungatautari. A local tourist information pack is available in the cottage for you to view. Maple Tree Cottage is an independent dwelling located within walking distance from the main dwelling. Hosts are available should support be needed. Please note: Your comfort and safety is important to me. I follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process between guest stays, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook that was developed in partnership with experts. I aim to keep my communication open and timely. The cottage will be your private space for the duration of your stay and I will only enter in the event of a safety risk/issue or upon your invite. We make sure we clean thoroughly between quests staying and are especially taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched areas. I am available by phone, email or just pop next door if you see a car parked in the drive, happy to assist as and when needed. Waitetuna is a small friendly farming community. Parking to front and side of house for 2 cars. A shared entrance and driveway with the owners. This is a rural location and the Raglan - Hamilton bus stop is at the end of our road, on the corner of State highway 23 and Waitetuna Valley road, a 1km walk from the cottage. Please ensure you check the bus timetable before engaging on a journey without a car or other mode of transport.
