Merewether Beach Cottage is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage located opposite world famous Merewether Beach. The location offers fantastic attractions at your doorstep including Merewether, Dixon Park and Bar Beach, iconic Merewether Baths, Beaches Hotel, Surf House, Anzac Memorial walk, and a multitude of cafes, bars, shopping and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. This three-bedroom property has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay for the family, a group of friends or singles. Located 200 meters from one of the best beaches in Australia, you can leave the car at home and walk to Merewether Beach and the infamous Merewether Ocean Baths. The property sits at the rear of the property giving a sense of peace and privacy, yet the location is fabulous for early morning surfs, and swims or strolls along the beachfront any time you like. The split level property has everything you require whilst you enjoy the many delights the area has to offer. - 3 BEDROOM HOUSE – (2 bedrooms with built in storage) all rooms have queen size beds. - Master bedroom has an ensuite with shower and vanity. - Smart TV with free Wi-Fi. - Bathroom with Shower, bath, vanity, and a separate toilet on each level - Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. - Laundry with washing machine and clothesline in rear garden. - Ducted Air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. - Lovely rear fenced private courtyard. After a day at the beach relax in the courtyard with a glass of your favourite beverage be it a coffee, tea, a fragrant Hunter Valley wine or a boutique beer from Port Stephens whilst you decide what is for dinner. Dinner choices are extensive being within easy walking distance to The Junction or catch a taxi/uber to Darby Street (about a half hour walk). Want something a little closer, the Merewether Surfhouse is just across the road, along with the Beaches Hotel. With easy access to the beaches of Newcastle, Newcastle CBD, or the many attractions the region has to offer. Enjoy your stay! As ‘Merewether Beach Cottage’ is in a residential area, we have a strict 'No parties or Events' policy and ask that all guests respect the neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum, particularly at night. Please do not park in the driveway as this provides access to the front property. The front property also has a parking spot off the side of the garage that is not for guests use of the rear property. (see photo's for more information) We give our guest the space and privacy they are looking for, yet are available if any assistance is required. Merewether has quickly become one of the (if not the) most sought-after suburbs in the entire Hunter region, with young families, professionals and avid surfers flocking from near and far to get a slice of the sand-fuelled action. Famed not only for its pristine, surf-ready beaches, Merewether’s varied landscapes boast everything from serene green parklands and secluded beaches to lush rainforests with trickling waterfalls, and all within 5km of Newcastle’s buzzing CBD. Streets are scattered with a mix of quaint old miner’s cottages and chic contemporary abodes – many of which come with enviable views of the ocean – whilst most of the local boutiques, bars and restaurants can be found at The Junction and Glebe Road quarter, in Merewether’s north. A surfer’s paradise with great schools, beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes and convenient access to Newcastle’s CBD, Merewether’s chic suburbia is one to watch for anyone venturing outside the city, be it Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Newcastle. * Merewether Beach * Merewether Beach, home of international surfing competition, Surfest, the reserve stretches from Dixon Park in the north to Burwood Beach in the south - with superb views in all directions. Enjoy a coffee at a beachside cafe and watch as locals walk their dogs, parents juggle caffeine and kids with sandy hair, and the surfers roll-up by the dozen. Walk a bit further down the beach promenade and you'll find Merewether Ocean Baths, the largest Ocean Baths complex in the Southern Hemisphere. If you don't want to drive, the number 21 bus travels from Broadmeadow to Newcastle, through Hamilton, The Junction, one end of Darby Street, Bar Beach and Newcastle: For more information on bus routes check out the Transport NSW Information page. Taxi's, Uber and Tour companies will also be able to assist with travel in and around Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. If you would like the use of a porta cot and highchair, please request this in you booking. Kitchen contains basic items for guests (tea, coffee, cling wrap etc.). Milk is not supplied as everyone's preferences are different. There are shops close by for you to be able to purchase items from. **No pool/beach towels are supplied. You will need to bring your own.
