Our French holiday home - 400 years old barn set in private walled grounds, with off road secure parking. The property has a private, security fenced and gated 12m x 6 m swimming pool, with sun loungers on a large sun terrace for the sole use of guests. The garden is mainly lawn. We have a very well equipped kitchen, and the house is comfortably furnished. The house and garden and pool are west facing and statistics show we are situated and in the 2nd sunniest area in France! A stunning converted barn with large communal rooms, high ceilings and shoulder height open fires. A safe, private and incredibly sunny walled garden with a secure fenced and security gated 6m x 12m swimming pool, for the exclusive use of our guests. The house is homely with comfortable furnishings, a very well equipped kitchen, high chairs, and a cot for babies, plentiful books, music CD's and DVD's, bikes of all sizes and above all a relaxing peaceful haven in which to unwind. The entire property will be available. We are always happy to take calls or emails on points arising to help sustain the relaxation our home in France habitually provides. We have a very reliable local support team to maintain the house and grounds who are available to help if needs be. A beautiful quiet hamlet with very good local daily markets, farm shops, boulangeries, supermarkets close by. There are numerous high quality restaurants in the neighbouring towns and villages and on the banks of the beautiful river Charente. The fabulous beaches on the Atlantic coast are only hour an away by car. 40 minutes from La Rochelle airport and within two hours of Bordeaux. Although you can cycle to local towns a car is advisable and can be rented easily at either of these airports. Many choose to take the ferry and drive. If you are taking a ferry do let us know as we will be able to arrange a discount with our ferry operator's Property Owners club. The house is bets suited for 6 adults with children. For adults without chidren 7 is probably the best number as two of the beds are smaller bunk beds.
