A charming Swallows and Amazons holiday with a unique cottage on the water's edge! The property is only accessible by a row boat from the other side of the river at Percuil (approx 5 min) or a 20 min walk from St Mawes. There's a sailing school opposite (where we learnt to sail and I used to teach at). The cottage comes with the use of a rowing boat, kayaks (x1 double, x2 single) and a Pico. A magical setting for the perfect holiday! The cottage is above some steps from the water. It is a peaceful, secluded place right in the midst of the boat life at Percuil. It is surrounded by it's own garden and has a boat house along the shore. There's a picnic table making eating outdoors easy. The cottage is cosy and clean. I would recommend it for people who are boat savvy and physically active as access does require pulling in boats/rowing/climbing steps. (It is not a glamorous holiday…go to St Mawes for that!) You can leave your cars (up to two-anymore and you’d need to pay for the parking) in the car park next to the boatyard. And then you can take the boat over to the property! I will be available to contact during your stay and will aim to respond within 24 hours. You will be given my telephone number in case of an emergency. Some of the most picturesque walks in Cornwall are nearby. It's close to beaches. There's a vibrant sailing scene. SUPs and kayaks are available to rent. We are near to the sweet town of Portscatho which has galleries and delicious places to eat out, including the Hidden Hut. We are also very near to the smart St Mawes, including various restaurants and a ferry which makes Falmouth easily accessible. There's a carpark with free parking (we pay for a season ticket) on the other side of the water from the cottage. Once there, a 5 minute drive from Portscatho. A 20 minute walk from St Mawes. Able to access Falmouth via the Ferry at St Mawes. Able to access Place via the Ferry at St Mawes. Nearest train stations are Truro, St Austell and Falmouth. *TO USE THE PICO PRIOR SAILING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED AND AN INSURANCE FORM IS NEEDED TO BE SIGNED * The sailing school opposite has motor boats, SUPs and sailing boats to rent. *Also, you need to bring your own bed linen and towels. Actual duvets and pillows are provided.*
