Oast Acre House - tranquility and seclusion

Oast Acre House is a converted square oast house approached from a country lane down a drive lined with cherry trees in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Your bedroom is to be found at the top of the stairs with access to your own bathing facilities. There is a shower room with a toilet plus a separate bathroom for those who prefer to soak. Please note that this is a period property with different levels both up and down stairs, and relatively steep stairs. I have a friendly cat who lives in the house - he is not allowed in your room! I offer a full English breakfast with, when available, eggs laid by my hens. Please let me know if you have any allergies and/or dietary requirements. Breakfast is provided by me in my spacious country kitchen with an Aga and views over the garden and paddocks. I will be around during your stay, my quarters are at the far end of the house. Pounsley is a hamlet between the villages of Blackboys and Buxted. With no street lights and little traffic you can be assured of a quiet stay, although at certain times of the year ducks, geese, woodpeckers, deer and other wildlife can make a bit of noise! The Blackboys Inn is only a mile away so within walking distance (if you planning to eat here it is advisable to book in advance) and there are many footpaths locally for relaxing walks. There is plenty of parking on the property. Buxted railway station is a short drive away offering hourly trains into London. I have a large travel cot and a high chair so let me know if you want to bring your baby.
