Stable Eight Cottage...(a horsey thing).

A small cottage furnished with your comfort in mind! You don't have to bring a horse to stay here but there is safe and secure accommodation for them too. If you wish to bring horses, there is an extra charge per horse. Bedding will be supplied but the stables must be cleaned before departure. Please discuss your requirements with us. Stable Eight Has a small, humble comfortable farmhouse style flat which is on a property that will also accommodate performance horses during the show season, dressage comps, showjumping etc. The cottage has a lovely antique double size bed. Provision can be made for an extra child or two. If you wish to discuss this with us, please tell us your requirements. All bed linen, bath towels, bathroom amenities, TV, video, full kitchen, tea, coffee, uht milk etc, iron, ironing board and hairdryer are provided. (Not online yet): There are a total of eight large, secure concrete stables with timber doors topped in timber or mesh grilles in which to safely accommodate horses (some are presently under refurbishment). Some with yards. (Not online yet): A concrete wash bay available and float parking, secure yard for a pet dog but this is upon discussion with us. Private entrance, garden, horse stables/yards. wash bay, float/truck parking. Close proximity to Nepean and Nepean Private and Windsor Hospitals, The Scenic Blue Mountains, Three Sisters at Katoomba and the lovely gardens at both Mt Irvine, Mt Wilson and the Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens. Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers, Bridge to Bridge Boat and Ski Races, The annual Hawkesbury Agricultural Show. With respect for our neighbours, noise be kept to a minimum during the day and especially after 9.00pm. We do not allow parties, schoolies or buck’s parties, undesirable behaviour due to excess consumption of alcohol or other (illicit) substances. Your own vehicle is obviously a must, but there are some public services available. Special note, negotiate with the hosts should transport be required and arrangements can be made, sometimes this may not be possible but if we can assist, we will. The Richmond, East Richmond, Clarendon and Windsor Railway Stations are also not too far away should a day trip to to the city be considered. The Hawkesbury District is reknown for a wide variety of equestrian events, such as Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Endurance Riding etc We are approximately an 8 - 10 minutes drive from Hawkesbury Showground and about a 30 minute drive to Horseworld’s Indoor Arena and various Pony Clubs etc as well as being in the heart of the historical Macquarie Towns District.
