At home in Shropshire
Share my home in the market town of Oswestry right on the border with Wales. Plenty to explore and local activities. Idyllic walking and cycling right from my door. Superb rock climbing and horse riding nearby. Ideally located for Offa’s Dyke, the Shropshire Way and visiting both Mid and North Wales. Shrewsbury and Chester within easy drive or train. Feel at ease staying here from relaxing in the living areas, enjoying a sunset from the garden or cooking yourself a meal. You shall be welcomed! The nightly price gives you 2 rooms so if you are a single or a couple you could use the attic room as a your own living space. The local area offers so much and I have a selection of brochures/walking books for you to borrow. All parts of my home other than my bedroom. Use of any equipment in the kitchen, washing machine, outside furniture. I really enjoy meeting my guests and hearing about their journeys/experiences. I try to meet any extra requirements you may have. I am available most of the time and am happy to help out in any way to enhance your stay in Oswestry. My home is within 15 minute walk into Oswestry town which has numerous independent shops and cafes and a market twice a week. The surrounding countryside is very pretty indeed and there is very little light or noise pollution. Locally there is an important Iron Age fort, Chirk Castle and the amazing viaduct near Llangollen. Both cycling and walking are a joy in this area. I have off street parking for one vehicle and can offer secure bike storage. The nearest train station is at Gobowen just 4 miles away and am happy to drive you for a small fee. If you have a car the delights of North Wales and Snowdonia are perfectly feasible for a day out. Also Lake Vyrnwy and Lake Bala with its white water rafting centre are within an hour’s drive. Please be aware that I have a cat so not suitable for anyone with feline allergies.
