French Countryside Restored Barn with natural pool
Escape to the french countryside with the comforts of home. Dating back to the 19th century and fully restored, the Barn at Moulin de Russac offers a bright, open space, fully-equipped kitchen, two bedroom suites with adjoining bathrooms and a spacious mezzanine. The green meadow and the natural, plant-filtered swimming pool complete your stay and offer a sense of country calm. As seen on House Hunters International, HGTV. The restored barn shares acres of property with a 17th century water mill house. Bright and comfortable, the open living space consists of a fully-equipped kitchen, table for 6-8, and comfortable living space with sofa and TV. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, comfortable, percale linens all made in France and adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and adjoining bathroom. The mezzanine of the second floor for overflow sleeping with additional queen bed and sitting area. We have a second gite on the property available for rent as well if you have a larger group, feel free to contact us. Given we live on the property in a separate dwelling with our two children, we will be there to welcome you and ensure you have a lovely stay. Located in the region of Lot in southwest France, the Barn at Moulin de Russac is great for those who want to explore the culture and nature of the region as well as those who want to rest and put their feet up. The Barn is a 5 minute drive up the hill to our lovely small town of Castelnau-Montratier with the boulangerie, butcher and restaurants. We are 30 minutes from the historic city of Cahors and an hour from Toulouse and the airport. River bathing, hiking paths, wine tasting, speciality markets and more are short drives away. We are in the countryside, and that means nature. There are animals and critters and an open window could mean an uninvited guest. Also, we are neighbors to farmland and on rare occasions (only a handful of days per year), can smell manure from the crops. We aim to decrease our carbon footprint and welcome our guests to be mindful of waste. Given we live on the property with our two children, we will be there to welcome you and ensure you have a lovely stay. Our outdoor space is shared with our family and a second gite, so there may be children running around or other guests at the pool. Given this is our home where we raise our family, we have house rules. No smoking inside and no parties.
