The House The story begins like this, long ago, the Barreta district of the small town of Olhao was inhabited by families of fishermen and merchants. The main fishery in this little corner of the Algarve was octopus and sardines which the fishing families dried on their roof terraces. Today, Olhao is still the largest traditional fishing port in Portugal, and the Barreta district retains its soul of yesteryear. One of its houses, Casa W Olhao is located some three hundred meters from the sea, it is surrounded by other houses of the same type. Renovated, it has two bedrooms which each overlook a different little street and two bathrooms. It is comfortable and on the top floor, you have the choice between a terrace with a beautiful lounge and deckchairs, and another with a barbecue, another lounge area and a table for dining. Casa W Olhao is a few minutes' walk from the famous covered fish and fruit and vegetable markets, small restaurants and cafes, but remains quiet in the small traditional cobbled streets. The ferry to the islands of Armona, Culatra and Farol also. Free parking is available on the street, right outside the house. The train station takes you to other towns in the Algarve and to the Spanish border. Faro Airport is just 18 km away. A car is not necessary. This family house is distributed as follows: on the ground floor, the living room, the separate kitchen and a shower room. On the first floor, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a nice balcony. On the second floor, a central space opens on each side onto the terraces. You can enjoy the beaches during the day and, at nightfall, take a stroll along the gardens facing the sea. The bars and small restaurants are open all year round. We will provide you with some personal addresses. To make your stay as smooth as possible, we have provided everything you need: Television with satellite and cable channels, WIFI available on all floors and even on the terraces, DVD player, classic DVDs, card and domino games. In your bathrooms: towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper and hairdryer. Room amenities: sheets, pillows, duvet, hangers, built-in wardrobe, safe. For the beach, a basket with beach towels, an insulated backpack, ice packs in the freezer, a parasol and a set of snowshoes. On the terraces, deckchairs and a comfortable lounge, a coffee maker and a large parasol. The barbecue allows you to grill beautiful market vegetables, fresh fish and meat from the hills. In the kitchen, toaster, microwave, kettle, orange press, espresso machine, hand and dishwashing detergent. Free street parking. Washing machine and washing capsules. Air conditioning in one bedroom. We are flexible so that your entry coincides with the arrival time of your flight. But we cannot guarantee it. The day of your departure: We set the departure time at 10:00. It will be possible to leave your luggage in the house during cleaning in agreement with your host, allowing you to make the most of your vacation.
