Ideal for couples or small families who want to relax during their vacation, to enjoy the sun and the sea which you can reach in a two minutes walk. The house, which was renovated in July 2019, is in a living area and very close to taverns, mini market, bakery, butcher shop, pharmacy and five kilometres away is the next small city Zacharo. …a cosy little house for people who love authentic Greek vacation and not for those who are looking for five star comforts. The hallway leads to the large eat-in kitchen on the left with a view on all sides and an exit to the terrace. The two bedrooms are in the other half as well as a toilet with shower. All windows have an integrated mosquito net and shutters. Earth tones as well as marble and wood dominate the furnishings. It is located 80 km from the airport of Kalamata and is a good starting point for day trips to the prefecture of Ilia, Messinia or even island of Zakynthos. All rooms are available When we are not there, our Greek neighbour Toula, who lives next to the house, will hand over the keys and help out. The kilometer-long, undeveloped sandy beaches and the mountains with their waterfalls, as well as the authentic life, make this place so unique. The excellent cuisine at absolutely fair prices makes you want to eat out. A village square with cafes taverns and mini market that invites you to linger until late at night. Not to mention the Greek hospitality. Without your own car, you can take a taxi to Zacharo for around 7 euros, from where buses go to Kalamata and Athens. Otherwise you can get everything you need in the village. The property is fenced and lined with plants. Parking in the courtyard is also possible. The outside staircase leads to the flat roof with a vine arbor. Here caution is advised when arriving with small children, as there are no handrails. An outside shower is also available for quick refreshment.
