Pickwick Cottage: cosy family cottage, sleeps 4

3 Pickwick Cottages is a charming two bedroomed holiday cottage in the village of St Ann’s Chapel and just a few minutes drive to South Devon’s best beaches. A quiet country setting in the heart of this small village, the cottage is ideal for couples or small families, offering cosy and bright accommodation including a wood-burner and outdoor BBQ area. This family friendly cottage is the ideal setting to explore all the local beaches and attractions of the South Hams. Freshly decorated Pickwick Cottages is modern and contemporary but still retains a lot of cottage charm and features including hardwood flooring and a wood burner in the main living area. There is an open plan main living space, with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining table and cosy lounge area with a smart TV and games cupboard. There is also a separate utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs the master bedroom has a large double bed, with a luxury memory foam mattress, views across the Devon countryside to the sea and an en-suite (including shower). There is another bathroom (with a bathtub) and the second bedroom has zip link beds, so can be setup as 2 single beds or 1 double bed (5ft King). There is also a travel cot, ideal for younger family members! Outside there is a private BBQ area, providing the perfect spot to relax, soak up the sun, read a book or dust off those barbecue skills. A complimentary welcome pack is left for guests on arrival including tea, coffee, milk and sugar to help you settle in when you arrive. Please note check in time is now 4pm on day of arrival due to extra cleaning time required by the cleaning company. If you would like to arrive earlier please let me know and I’ll try to accommodate where possible. Self check in via key safe. 3 Pickwick Cottages is in the heart of St Ann's Chapel. The village stores are just a minute's walk down the road and has everything (and more!) you could need for your stay. The Pickwick Inn is a quiet country village gastro pub, offering pizza nights and local ales to enjoy after a day at the beach. The Oyster Shack, just a 20 minute walk from the cottage, is one of the South Hams most loved fish restaurants. There are so many wonderful beaches nearby, our favourite is Bigbury, just 2 miles drive from the cottage. Bigbury is a gorgeous sandy dog-friendly beach, with Burgh Island and its many caves/lagoons to explore by kayak/SUP. Wonwell Beach is also less than 10-minutes from the cottage and Salcombe is just a 20-minute drive away. For golfers, the challenging Bigbury Golf Course is just a mile down the road. PETS: We allow one small/medium-sized and well behaved dog at Pickwick. Unfortunately large dogs or more than one dog is just not suitable as it is a small cottage! We would kindly ask that your dog only stays downstairs (there is a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs to be used at all times) and we also ask to ensure your dog does not jump on to any furniture/sofas etc. Thank you for understanding and we hope you enjoy a few days exploring the South Hams with your four-legged companions!
