Chez Podi Surfcamp Mirissa - Bed 2 in shared room

Podi and Judith welcome you to our small Sri Lankan – German – French rooted Surfcamp “Chez Podi”. Camp weeks including daily surf lessons with Podi can be booked via our website. Of course you can also just spend a few nights with us: You will stay in a queen size bunk bed in a cosy, newly built shared room with "jungle"-bathroom. Balconies and garden are for common use. We are located 500 meters from Mirissa beach and 100 meters from the fishery harbor in a quiet village area. The room is equipped with queen size bunk beds, mosquito nets, fans and lockers. We are happy if you want to book separate surf lessons and breakfast with us, surf boards and equipment are available for rent. Mirissa, a fishing village on the island’s southcoast, has been popular amongst tourists for decades due to its white beaches, turquoise sea and purple sunsets. You will find yourself surrounded by cosy beach bars with fresh fish and relaxed atmosphere, colourful nightlife as well as authentic local life and secret spots. Mirissa is famous for whale watching, you can surf here or at one of the many spots around which are easily reachable by scooter, local bus or tuk tuk or simply relax at quiet beaches such as Madiha or Secret beach. Bigger cities like Weligama and Matara are just a short ride away. Your room is on the ground floor, we are living on first floor, so we will be around most of the times if you need anything. Apart from that you can reach us via phone. In our Surfcamp weeks we are aiming to create a team spirit in a little group through daily common breakfast, surf lessons and evening activities. You are very welcome to join if you like, just add it to your booking. Around our house you'll find a quite some cosy cafés, restaurants with typical Sri Lankan or any other kind of food as well as smaller and bigger shops where you can buy anything for your daily needs. Mirissa beach is only 500 meters away, you'll find a lot of cosy bars with fresh fish and colorful nightlife there. We can help you renting a scooter to explore Mirissa and its neighborhood. Another easy way to cover smaller and longer distances in Sri Lanka are tuk tuks, they are available anywhere and we can arrange for you. The local bus station is just a 5 minutes walk from Chez Podi's. Furthermore we can arrange taxi transportation and airport shuttle for you. Our house is located in a quiet area, you won't be bothered by traffic noise from main street or party music from the beach here. This location in a small side road also means, that your feet might get wet if there's strong rain. That might happen in all Mirissa in this time. Please also be aware, that there are lot of mosquitos in Sri Lanka.
