It's a perfect base for hiking and discovering our country also through local food and lovely nature. We are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and Mediterranean copse. We can recommend fine cozy restaurants and wineries not far from our apartment. For example "la Cantina di Toia" a restaurant situated in the birth house of Leonardo da Vinci's grandmother (5 km) and "la Tenuta di Capezzana" a famous winery where you can taste and buy Chianti wine (1km). Who is interested in history or archeology will find several interesting places in the surrounding hills like Medicean Villas, Etruscan necropolis and acropolis. Our location is ideal to reach the most important Tuscan cities of artistic interest: Florence (20 km), Prato (12 km), Pistoia (18 km), Lucca (60 km), San Gimignano (60 km), Siena (90 km). Apart those famous cities there are several suggestive little villages around: Vinci the birth city of Leonardo da Vinci with an interesting museum about his inventions (20 km), Artimino (10 km), Fiesole (28 km), Barberino val d'Elsa (45 km), etc. etc. The nearest airport is at Florence (20 km).
