9 Milson's Passage Retreat - Boat access only

Waterfront home, private tidal sandy beach and pontoon. Only a half hour drive from Hornsby, (M1) you will find your parking. A 10 minute boat ride to your riverside cottage via water taxi, day hire boat or private boat. Ideal spot for fishing, kayaking or bush walking along the tracks to the cliff facing bar point or simply relaxing by the fire reading. This open plan home is a great space for meals and family time. Our fully air conditioned 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom cottage and private wharf, pontoon and tidal beach is water access only. Milson's Passage is a small island town on the edge of Sydney where you can hide away from the hustle of the city crowd's. The front veranda has breathtaking views of the river with entertaining area and BBQ. The open plan kitchen, lounge dining and reading area has a beautiful open fireplace and views with wall to floor sliding doors to open up the home. There is a Queen-sized bed with ensuite on the waterfront. Separately there is a separate large flat/bedroom with bathroom that has a queen size bed and two bunk beds. The linen package is made to service these beds. One or two small children can be additionally accommodated on the small pull out double bed lounge opposite the house large bathroom. If more than six, guests must bring their own linen. Maximum adult guests: 6 (Infants and/or up to three more children if under 12 can be accommodated. However, linen is only included for 6. Portable cots/ high chairs are available if pre-ordered. Customers should bring their own cot linen and linen/blow up mattress for young children if the six adult beds are taken.) The kitchen is modern and well equipped for the chef with a stove, microwave, coffee machine, large fridge and all your utensils. The well lit dining table holds 8 people with an additional outdoor entertaining/ BBQ area looking onto the water. On the rear veranda you will find your spa and additional outdoor seating area with peaceful quiet spaces to read or take a stroll on of the local bush tracks accessible by the yard. Full access to the whole house, tidal sandy beach and wharf/pontoon. Spa area with a child proof cover, verandas and an unfenced backyard with easy access to the bush walking tracks behind the house. The public wharf is just a few houses down. I live nearby and are available to answer questions via phone. I will meet and greet you show you around, then leave you to relax. If a late night arrival is needed a key can be arranged with an email briefing of the property. Ice, bait, fishing hire, drinking water etc available at our Luxury Afloat office, your pick up point. Milson's Passage is a unique water access only town, comprising of some 40 absolute waterfront homes in the Hornsby Shire, on the Hawkesbury River opposite Milson Island. Occupied by mainly retirees and holiday homes. There are no shops, schools or cafes but they are available with a runabout ride back up river to several nice restaurants in Brooklyn. Surrounded by Muogamurra Nature Reserve, the native bird and wild life is abundant so pets are to be closely supervised. It is about 15 minutes by runabout to Brooklyn and the railway station or 10 minutes to Mooney Mooney/M1, you are close enough to get away easily and relax and unwind within an hour or two. If you have your own boat, you can berth it on your own private jetty at the house. Otherwise, there are a number of options for your boat access including a water taxi from Hawkesbury River Water Taxis (they include a package rate with a tinny tied up to your wharf for your entire stay) , or hiring an eco day boat from us at Luxury Afloat for $300 for the weekend (in that case there is plenty of parking in our Street outside our office at Kangaroo Point (1420 Pacific Highway Brooklyn) or various other places to hire a boat such as Brooklyn Central or Hawkesbury River Marina who would give you parking. Unfortunately pets are not allowed. We are not fenced and with the national park adjoining our backyards we have had to make this decision in the best interests of the local community and that national parks.
