The Chalet is fully self-contained, well decorated, wifi, BBQ's, sunny decks, freeview tv, linen and towels provided if needed. Renowned worldwide for its natural beauty - misty rainforests and pristine golden beaches, the Coromandel is blessed with hundreds of natural hideaways, making it an ideal place to slow down, relax and unwind. This place is most beautiful between November - March. The Chalet is only 3 mins drive or 15 mins bike ride to the beach. It is close to Forest walks, Cafes, Art Galleries and only a short walk from the Information Centre and Bus Stop. Genevieve and James live next door in Fern Lodge with three smaller accommodation units also on the property. They are working on making the business energy efficient and low waste. Genevieve is an art collector and artist herself who is currently making a small gallery as part of Fern Lodge. James is a biologist and award winning filmmaker with a string of documentaries and short films on the go. They are always around and can help with any information you need. There are also bikes for hire with which you can easily visit the beaches, restaurants, artists and attractions of Coromandel Town. Cafes, Bush walks, Beaches, Restaurants, Art, Pottery, Bicycles, Fresh produce. We like to let guests do their own thing and enjoy the accommodation and experience the surrounds without having to check in with us. However we are not strangers! and we love to meet everyone and are always available to have a chat or help in any way if you need it. Relaxed vibe, access to everything you could need, beaches and forest plus a picturesque little town. Bicycle, taxi, Shuttle bus to Auckland Ferry and Hot Water Beach.
