Charming Victorian B&B near Swanage

Lovely Victorian home in a quiet , picturesque spot at the top of Langton Matravers, near Swanage. The house offers a beautiful garden, private parking and a large family dining room where guests can enjoy a locally sourced full English Breakfast. Pretty double bedroom on the first floor with a very comfortable queen sized bed, French linen sheets, antique furniture and very large en-suite bathroom. Both rooms have great views. Facilities in the room include tea & coffee tray, WiFi, TV, hairdryer and robe, toiletries in the bathroom. A full English breakfast is served using local produce where possible. The house is accessed via the back door and guests are welcome to come and go as they wish. We provide a key for this and also for the room. Guests are welcome to use the garden in the summer and there is plenty of parking for cars. We have an extra fridge for guests use and during the summer season guests are welcome to use the downstairs sitting room. We are happy to provide guests with as much information on the local area as possible. The dining room where we serve breakfast has plenty of leaflets, maps and information, plus we are on hand to advise. The house is at the top of a quiet village and has superb views down to the sea at Swanage. The area enjoys some of the finest beaches, walks and villages in the south west: Swanage, Studland, Corfe Castle are on the doorstep and the South West Coastal path/Jurassic coastline is within walking distance. Easily accessed activities include boat trips, horse riding, walking, cycle hire and golf. If you wish to stay in the village there is small general store/Post Office and a friendly pub - a little further, at the end of a spectacular walk you will find the popular Square and Compass pub at Worth Matravers. We are close to the local bus service into Swanage and Bournemouth, the nearest train station is at Wareham, part of South West trains where there is a twice hourly service between London and Weymouth.
