Welcome to this authentic and charming little cottage, adjacent to a family country house (occupied in August only). It is situated in a peaceful village of Cantal, right in the middle of the beautiful green mountains, alt. 900m. Quiet, with all the modern comfort, south-oriented, mountain view. Room with a double bed (+ sofa bed if needed). Either you want to relax, fill up with oxygen or just disconnect from the city, this is THE place to be ! Complete disconnection in this peaceful green atmosphere right in the middle of Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne. This old sheepfold, transformed into a charming and authentic cottage with all the modern comfort, is the ideal place to rest and enjoy quietness, either for a weekend or longer holidays. South-oriented, calm, it is made to enjoy nature and oxygen in the middle of the old Auvergne volcanos. NO WIFI, because no need ! But you have 3G. Obviously, no TV, the landscape is your program ;)) Self-equiped kitchen (except for the washing machine, but there is a dishwasher) Itinerant shops with authentic honking truck coming to the village. Butcher, bakery, grocery, pharmacy, tobacconist's... 10 minutes drive in Saint-Cernin village. Garden, terrace, private access. Hammock, barbecue, plancha, pond. Goats, chicken (you can enjoy fresh eggs in the morning) and "cock François" will let you know when the sun is rising. You can listen to the peaceful sound of bells both of the church (classified in "monuments historiques) and of the cows grazing all around. You are right in the middle of nowhere, be aware of that ! Lots of hiking all around in the "Monts du Cantal" but also in different charming ans classified villages all around (Tournemire, Marmanhac, Saint-Martin Valmeroux, Fontanges, Salers, .. ). Woods are close if you want some mushrooms. Traditional cheese (Cantal and Salers) 10 minutes drive at Gilles and Chantal at "la ferme d'Anglards le Pommier"; local food and products all around, especially at Dupont butchery in Saint-Cernin, the butcher is my good friend Domie ! Horse pension and rides 20 minutes drives at "la Maronne". Medical centers 10 minutes drive. Autonomy, peacefulness, but we'll talk on the phone.
