Cottage in the mountains by woodland stream

Unique cottage on the edge of quiet village, 5km from Snowdonia National Park, 6km from the University city of Bangor. Y Gweithdy is a peaceful space, next to a stream and woodland, within easy reach of spectacular scenery. The largest Zip Wire in Europe is 3 miles away. Beautiful local walks up to the mountains and through our woods and farm. Our house adjoins the cottage, so we are here to welcome you. Qualified Therapist can offer sessions using our unique environment for an extra charge. From the kitchen/sitting room, French windows open onto woods, barbecue area, and stream with dipping pool for the brave! The cottage is on the edge of our farm: we have a large veg garden and can provide fresh seasonal vegetables if required. We keep ducks for their eggs:our only farm animals at the moment.The farm has a five sided wooden building which hosts events and workshops eg. crafts and growing skills: you can book into these if they coincide with your stay. The North Wales Pilgrim footpath runs through our fields. Mount Snowdon is 30 mins drive away., as is the stunning coastline of Anglesey. Ancient castles abound here, and also historical buildings and sites associated with Welsh mythology. The Woodland visitors Centre, Welsh Mountain Zoo, Butterfly Centre, and Anglesey Farm Park are all within easy reach. Bangor is a small but lively city, with Cinema, Theatre and Arts Centre, venues for live music and many restaurants and cafes, including vegetarian and vegan. Visit Bangor Pier for great views of the Menai straits, the mountains and Anglesey. Dance classes for groups and individuals available close by.
