A beautiful countryside villa with swimming pool and tennis court, within 30 minutes of Venice, a stone's throw from the Abano and Montegrotto spa centres, offering scenic biking/hiking routes and wine tasting in the Euganean Hills. Sleeps up to 15 people. This beautiful Liberty-style villa forms part of an elegant historical country house resting at the foot of the Regional Park of Colli Euganei! The villa has 3 floors, 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and kitchen and guests can enjoy our outdoor swimming pool (open mid-May to September) with adjacent BBQ space, a tennis court and a ping-pong table. The location is a perfect starting point for a number of activities including sightseeing (Venice, Verona, Vicenza, etc.), hiking and mountain biking, wine tasting, spa treatments and much more (see “Neighbourhood” section below)! Dinners / Cooking classes Upon request we can arrange for a local chef to come to the property and cook a fabulous dinner for our guests, consisting in a selection of local dishes to be accompanied by local wines. We can also organize Italian cooking classes. Free parking available on the premises. Wi-Fi currently available, although not very powerful. Please bear this in mind if you're planning to work from here. Prices vary depending on the season (rates for bookings of less than 1 week may vary), please message us if you plan to stay less than 1 week so we can give you a quote. Additional fees: cleaning fees, heating/air-conditioning and tourist tax. No pets please. Hosts: Italian hosts from Padova! This used to be our home but we recently moved about 15km away. We are happy to share our knowledge of sites and attractions, good restaurants, hidden routes and help you discover all the charm this beautiful region has to offer! Guests will have access to a swimming pool with adjacent BBQ space (shared with other guests who might be staying at the property), tennis court and a ping-pong table. Hosts will welcome guests at check-in and will then be available should the guests need anything during the week. A bit about the area: The Euganean Hills are a regional park with picturesque hill towns, fabulous Venetian villas, and many wonderful restaurants! Most popular activities in the area include: •Outdoor activities: for walkers and nature lovers this area will be perfect, offering a vast network of hiking/mountain biking trails of various degrees of difficulty; •Wine tasting: wine lovers will appreciate the family owned vineyards of the Euganean Hills (this is the region of Prosecco, a dry sparkling wine which is the perfect aperitivo!) •Spa: Abano Terme (10 minutes by car) is one of the main spa towns in Italy and it is famous for its fango (mud) applications, thalassotherapy and a whole range of other complementary treatments •Sightseeing: the villa is a great starting point to visit Padova (15 minutes by car), Venice (45 minutes), Verona (1h, definitely book evening of opera at the open-air amphitheatre in the summer!), etc. As the villa is located in the Venetian countryside, we suggest renting a car in order to be more independent and better explore the area. Additionally, if you want to travel further, the "Terme Euganee" railway is only 15 minutes away by car.
