Cupar Haven. Courtyard bedroom 1

After decades printing local newspapers we have renovated The Old Printworks into a modern home while keeping the historical feel intact. A bright welcoming bedroom offers a cosy retreat from sightseeing in the area. You can rest after working out those golfing shoulders or walk off the wonderful local food. We are happy to offer suggestions for outings, eating out and walks. The Tourist office is 200m away. The breakfast area includes a coffee machine and my home made jam. Close to the centre of Cupar, within walking distance of several cafes and restaurants and a ten minute walk to the train station, we are placed for a 'staycation' or to visit all the sights in the area. St Andrews and the East Neuk is a 20 minute drive away, Dundee with the new V&A is 20 minutes by car or train and Edinburgh an hour. Several National Trust properties, eg Tarvit House, Falkland Palace, are close by. Guests use the mezzanine breakfast area plus the walled courtyard in warm weather. We may pass through the mezzanine area to restock and clean but will always wear mask and gloves. Please wear a mask until seated at the table. Thankyou As this is our home we are usually available to answer any questions or a short phone call away. We may be a little more reserved at present but normally happy to socialise or leave you to your own space. Cupar is the county town of East Fife and has parks, a leisure centre, shops and two golf courses. Perfectly placed for visiting Perth, Dundee, St Andrews or Edinburgh. There are several local walks and historic buildings in the town. We have major supermarkets and small local shops, restaurants, coffee shops and some take aways. Cupar has free car parking, a good bus service and a main line train station. Public transport is more limited on a Sunday however, so check your timetables. We do have a spaniel on the premises and although she does not access the guest bedrooms you may meet her with us in the hall on her way for a walk. There may be guests staying in the Family Studio and/ or Bedroom 2 during your stay. As a precaution, the extra cushions, bedsheets and towels are not now stored in your room if less than three nights. All will come from our dedicated linen room upstairs. Please just ask if you need something.
